Dealing with traffic
Dear Diary,
Commuting to work has always been a hassle. I for one who lives in the South and works at Makati would know. Two hours commute to and from, how unproductive. Byahe pa lang ubos oras na. I couldn't fly to an emergency meeting if I'd be coming from home. But we all have to live with it, don't we?
Not all days are busy days in the office. What tires me most from day to day is waiting in line for the bus/UV and getting stuck in traffic during rush hour. Just imagine an exhausting work day with it.
This is why I started downloading epubs.
My first encounter with Haruki Murakami was with Norwegian Wood. My bestfriend recommended it and it became my companion to a 12-hour lone cruise to Boracay and back. Little did I know that the tragedy would break my heart making me want to jump off the ship on the way back to Batangas port.
Browsing through Murakami's library, After Dark's what caught my attention.
How do I describe my amusement about time? Like how other people's lives go on while you sleep or when you're away, and the inevitable occurring changes in between. In this book, Murakami reveals such events in one of the intertwining fates in Tokyo.
To people who have day jobs, ever wondered what happens after dark in your own city?
Off to the daily traffic jam,
G.
