I followed a James Charles tutorial using a Php 120 eyeshadow palette from LAZADA

Dear diary,

Can you recreate a James Charles palette look using the cheapest eyeshadow in the world???

A friend of mine tagged me on a photo posted by Liza Koshy on Instagram challenging me to recreate the look by James Charles... I was quite confident that I can achieve it (as they say - believe, and you're halfway there!), but the problem is, I can't afford a James Charles X Morphe palette, so I bought the closest thing that's within my budget. ;) LOL

When the package came, I quickly unwrapped it! It is true to its name - it actually has 40 different shimmer colors, lamang pa nga ng isa kay James Charles! Chasss! His Morphe palette has 39 and both palettes have a wide spectrum. My first impression of the cheap eyeshadow palette from LAZADA was that it's super small lang, the diameter of each shade is even smaller than my thumb. Its strong smell made me sneeze din.

Anyways... so then, I turned to this tutorial. I admire how James Charles has done so many achievements at a very young age. He's such an inspiration to me, even though I'm a few years older. He's like a living proof to me that you can achieve whatever you want as long as you focus on your goal and disregard the noise. You're never too young or too old for anything - if you want something, then just go get it.

I'm not going to lie - it took me two takes and plenty of hours before I could recreate this look. I had to bonggang-bonggang blend, and apply layers and layers to at least get some pigment. There was a point naman when I felt like all the colors I applied just merged into one bright shade of pink. Last time I checked, the look I was going for was rainbow-ish. Gusto ko na lang umiyak, pero getsss!!! Hindi pwede!!!

I told myself that this is the second time I did this already, I've sneezed so much for having to smell it for hours again, and just so I can throw this already (lol) - let's get this over with. To show you guys what I mean, I documented it on my YouTube channel. You may watch it here:

Here's a raw photo of the finished product. In behalf of my hormones, I would like to apologize for another breakout season. (Will appreciate your color corrector suggestions!!!)

This may probably be my last makeup vlog/blog as I'll be enrolling myself to something new next month. I'm going to try something new, something I've always wanted to learn since I was a kid. It could also help me with my hormonal imbalance. Either way, I'm going to update my diary so...

Can't wait!

G.

P.S. I also recently started my own FB Page... Hope you guys can drop by and maybe give me a like???
